Having traded in my 7+ for my Pixel 2 XL, I now have several extra iPhone chargers. These are all Apple and not 3rd party. Would these be safe to use to charge my Pixel using a good quality usb-c to usb-a cable? I understand I won't get fast charging. I just want to make sure there is no risk of damage. Or is there specific charger requirements for the Pixel.

Is the output of the chargers 5 Volts (or close - up to no more than 5.2)? If so, it's safe. (If they don't supply enough current, it will just take longer than with a charger that does.) It's only the output voltage that matters (and the connectors - which match in your case.

You won't get the full benefit from Power Delivery but should be safe. It's not easy to find third-party Power Delivery chargers and they aren't cheap. The reason maybe because they're made powerful enough to charge laptops. I've been using standard 2.4 amp chargers for both Pixel and Pixel 2 with no problem. Phone shows "charging rapidly" too.

I picked up a PD wall charger for under £13 the other day from Amazon. Works a treat.
