Charging Through USB Cord & Computer

Simply stated, should the EVO be able to charge when linked to a powered USB drive on my computer? Doesn't appear to be, just wondering.

It's the only way my evoke charges at home. Usb 2.0 or 1? Official cable?

yes it will chrage hooked up through the USB of your computer, I read somewhere it will be at a slower (trickle basically) rate as opposed to using a/c power

My Evo charges connected to a computer with no problems.

Now... On a USB drive? I don't know. Daisy chaining may not work.

It will charge when connected to a computer, but most computer USB ports only supply 500mA so it will charge much slower than the wall charger, which supplies 1000mA.

Thanks, I connected to my work laptop which I do not have administrator rights to, that may be way it did not initiate a charge. I will have to attempt on another computer. Thanks for the feedback.
