Charging time has tripled after installing virtuous rom

Running a Dinc and went from 2.1 to the newest virtuous rom. Right away I noticed decent battery life and cool froyo features. The deal breaker for me is the charge time. I was down to 25% today, and after 3 hours on a ac charger it still hadn't reached 100%. What's the deal with this? Is there a definitive fix? I searched and did find other instances of this but it doesn't seem like anyone knows whats up.

Did you reset the battery stats when you flashed the ROM?

No but wouldn't that affect battery life not charge time? Used nandroid backup back to eclair and charge times went back to normal...

What Kernel were you running? A few kernels have been tweeked to improve charge times as well as battery life.

Using the stock Kernal. I ended up reverting back to 2.1, then my market didn't work. Reloaded another 2.1 rom, then loaded my nandroid backup and all is well again. The bells and whistles of 2.2 aren't worth me being able to charge my phone in an hour.

There is a v4 version of the kernel from rmk that charges very fast. You can download it, or wait till 3.1.0 virtuous is released. Should be very soon.
