Verizon Galaxy S8 Charging while using an USB-C to HDMI cable??

I have a new USB-C to HDMI cable that's supposed to charge the phone while also playing a video on your TV via the HDMI cable. If I use a standard S8 Fast adaptive charger adapter it will not charge the phone and there is no indiction on the phone that a charger is connected.

However if I use an old S5 non-fast charging adapter it will charge the phone while a video is playing. Is this because the Phone will not fast charge or wireless charge while a video is playing via USB-C??

The cable I'm using is a Foinnex USB C to HDMI Cable 6ft, with PD,USB port and Micro SD Reader.

No, it's because of a conundrum. Any charger capable of 5 Volts to a Type C connector should work, fast charge or not. But I doubt that the techs at Verizon would be able to troubleshoot to the level of finding out why the fast charger isn't working with the cable.
