Anyone else having trouble charging their watch with current charges because the band gets in the way? Any work around? I use Samsungs triple wireless charger.

Well as they already announced, the new charger is different from the one we have always used since the watch case is larger, in fact they said that we were no longer going to be able to charge the new 7 with the phone.

OP never said phone. They said wireless charger.

@donebrasko when you say with the current chargers, do you mean the one that came with the watch or something else.

Apparently, the charging compatibility issue is the result of the physical configuration of the back of the Ultra. The additional sensors on the Ultra cause the watch back to protrude a bit more than on previous watches, so the Ultra needs a more concave charger disk to fit the greater depth of the Watch back. This has been offered as the reason for giving up the ability to charger from a phone -- not enough contact with the flat surface of the phone. This might also be a problem with other multi=device chargers.

I have this same problem. I have the duo charger and the watch no longer sits flush with the charger because of the new watch band. I have to use the included charging cable to charge the Ultra.

As Seekeer336 already stated, the band is not the limiting factor for charging, it is the redesigned back of the watch.
I can confirm that the same problem exists with standard Watch7. IMHO the fact that the back of the watch was redesigned to improve the health sensors is worth giving up the old chargers.

I charge my watch 7 but just the regular small one with the same charger I used with my watch 6 and it charged really quick today but I was already on 50% when I woke up but I charged it anyway. I didn't even open the charger that came with the watch cuz I already had my old one sitting on my desk plugged in. Unless you're talking about older chargers or not the small watch 7.

The band is the limiting factor. It charges if I remove the band.

I have Samsung Duo wireless charger.
I noted from several sources that the curved back on the watch causes longer charging times and creates more heat. This cannot be good for battery life, no?

I don't think so. I've been using this charger since I got it with the 5 pro. For me, it's all good with the ultra.
