Charging

So today I used my phone moderately and had 73% after 11 hours, and since I know I'll be taking a lot of pictures tomorrow, I put in on the charger. Is it bad to charge it when it still has that much battery?

Nope.

No in fact its probably better to do a "top up" charge more often than a full charge. I tend to do a full charge, so 20% or less once a month, the rest of the time its a top up charge from 50% or so.
