Bit of a weird one this

I use Spotify on my phone in the car with the music downloaded to the handset. When I leave for work, battery is usually about 96% so I stick it on charge using a Samsung car charger and within 10mins of my 30min journey to work it's charged.

However on the trip home, battery is typically between 65 to 70%, so putting it on charge should get it close to 75 to 85%, but it rarely gets more than 2 to 3% out of the charger.

I've tried rebooting, not using any apps at all whilst driving, but it made no difference at all.

My Note 3 used to charge perfectly fine and would often reach full charge on the journey home regardless of the apps running.

I've tried a different charger and no difference.

Thoughts?

The only thing that comes to mind would be to disable the Adaptive Charging option. It's supposed to do the opposite (charge faster on lower levels, 'normal' speed on higher ones) and requires a special charger, but it might be interfering with the charge...
