Choice of two phones

Hi all,

So basically I have a choice between 2 phones a Huawei P20 or Google Pixel 2 XL.

Basically cost saving so it has to be one or the other which way would you guys go between those 2?

I've already made that choice - I own a Pixel 2. (And with the Camera 3 app, it's just about as good as the Pixel 3 [except that the updates stop a year sooner].)

Welcome to Android Central! I'd go with the Pixel. Great camera, unlimited Google Photos backup of original quality photos, prompt updates, guaranteed system version upgrades at least through 2020. The main limitation (if it's important to you) is the lack of an SD slot.

Welcome to Android Central! Man, that's a really tough choice. My coworker has the P20 and it's awesome! I'd say you'd get an excellent phone experience out of either device. I have a Pixel 2 and love it. You are guaranteed software updates and so that is something to consider if you do go for the 2 XL.

I recommend going to your local retailer and holding both phones in your hand, and testing out their features (messaging, camera, homescreen setups) as best as you can. If you feel like you can't decide between the two, think about which one you see yourself using for a longer period of time until your contract is up, for example.
