Lurker turned member here... howdy!

Stopping off in this forum first to make my propers before heading off to the phone threads.

Right now I have the OG Evo and am contemplating moving to ATT, but ONLY to save a few bucks because my new husband is on ATT. Everyone in my family, new family, extended family, etc. has Crapple phones and there's just no way I'm switching. I love my Android, love being able to customize, and frankly, don't have a lot of faith in ATT. Everyone I talk to on ATT around here sounds crappy on my phone (yes, I've tested it, it's not the hardware.. lol) I also like the fact that having two carriers puts us at an advantage when we travel or when there is something going on that might render cell services inoperable. For example... I live in the Houston area and when Ike hit, not all carriers worked at all times. It was spotty for the first day or two but between different carriers, my neighbors and I always had someone's phone that worked. Travelling... we were just at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels and the whole family's iPhones never got a network connection and could barely text, let alone hit the internet. Mine was fine. I realize there are areas that Sprint wouldn't be strong, too, but I've never hit one and I've been in the boondocks of Arkansas, west Texas, Colorado, the northeast, Florida... never had an issue.

That being said, because there are so many wifi connections around, even the unlimited data is not a necessary keep anymore so saving 50.00/month is appealing, which would happen if I jumped ship to the Family Plan with ATT.

My issues are phone choices.. and that's where my lurking for the past month on different forums comes in.

On that note, I'm out of the Intro forum and off to the phones... see you there!
Ok, instinct and initial brain function told me to say "See you on the flip side" but I refrained because that was a bit corny, even though the irony was funny to me having had the original flip phones from the 80's - yup, the Motorola MicroTAC. Ok ok, I've told on my age now -- wow, phones have come a long way. Haha!

Forgive me.. I'm off!

Denise
