Hello everyone I’m new to the android world and picked up at Note 20 Ultra, as well as a Samsung Galaxy Watch3.....I love using chomp as my messaging app on my Note, but how can I use it on my watch? I am only able to reply with Chomp when a new message comes in, I’m not able to actually utilize “chomp” on my watch aside from must responding to messages? IE: using chomp on my watch to start a text conversation? Thanks for any help!

I use Textra, which is same developers as chomp. You should be able to do this like I do it.

On watch, go to contacts, select the contact you want to send a message to, it should pop up a screen with a phone button or message button. Touch the message button and then select the number if you have more then 1 number stored for that contact. Now you will get a message that says "make messages your default messaging app" since you're using a third party texting app. Select the "X" button and you are set to go. You will have the options to speak your message, do emoji, or type. If you speak your message, after you speak it you will have the choice to send that as a text or audio.

For your most common contacts there is a widget called contacts. You can have up to 4 contacts per screen swiping to the right and you can have more then one widget. I have 2 myself. Eliminates having to go to the contacts and scrolling.

I just looked, there is not going to be a chomp app listed in your apps. There is a messages. You can use that instead of contacts also. It changes the order of steps above, but does the same thing

Well that worked! Thanks for the info, it is odd that ChompSMS can't be used as the default messaging app on the watch itself tho...
