ChompSMS, Sprint Hero and Flash Trackball Light

Has anyone got their trackball (not LED indicator) to light up for notification on the Sprint Hero with ChompSMS? I noticed they added the functionality a few updates ago, but I haven't been able to get it to work... is it only for the GSM Hero?

I don't believe the Sprint version supports this.

It does, the setting works in Handcent. Maybe it's a Chomp thing.

That's interesting, I haven't gotten the trackball flash to work in either SMS program.

I have not gotten it to work in Handcent either, and they have not replied to my email about it either.

On a side note kinda related, anyone getting sms led lights to change?
I see all the options and I would love to change sms to blue

Yeah, I haven't gotten either of these features to work. The LED color options and the track ball notifications on my sprint hero. :/

so far the dev of handcent is having problems getting the track ball to light up (as he dont have a cdma hero to work with) gsm and cdma have a dif path for the trackball to activate...........as for the led notification color htc decided it would go cheap and only gave us a dual color led up there instead of the mulit color ones they put in most other phones they make

I don't think it's supposed to flash like the LED, it just turns on when you get a message & my phone does that. I think there's a setting on the phone to have the trackball light up, and you have to have that checked.
