Chrome and Android System Web View Update Issue

For a couple of days now, Chrome and Android System Web View apps show updates available in the Play Store but neither of the apps will update.

My phone is a T-mobile S10 with Android 10, UI 2.1, Security Patch July 1, 2020.

I've cleared the system cache in the recovery menu and app cache for both of said apps but they still won't update. Phone seems to be working without issue.

Any ideas as to why the apps won't update? Anyone else having this issue?

Just checked the app store again and the Android System Web View had updated on its own. Clicked on the available Chrome update and it worked. Strange...

Were you getting an error message, or would the update seem to start and then stop on its own without any indication?

The update would appear to start and then stop after a couple of seconds.

I had that problem a couple of times and since then I always update System Webview first on its own and when it finishes I update the rest of the apps. Never have the problem again.

Force stop and clearing cache for the Play Store usually fix this kind of problems, as well.
