Chrome bookmarks on S9

Ok Ive tried searching for this answer but well I apparently am not seeing what I should. Have a Galaxy s9, when I open chrome and go to bookmarks, I guess I am supposed to see an option to the right of the bookmark to delete/remove and well I do not. Long touching does not bring up the delete option either. How do I remove the pre installed chrome book marks ?

Welcome to Android Central! Preinstalled bookmarks might not be removable. For bookmarks that you create, do you see a 3 vertical dot button to the right in the Bookmarks page? Tapping that should give you the option to delete. If you see that, then are you saying that the button doesn't appear next to the preinstalled bookmarks?

Well that is unfortunate that I can't delete Preinstalled Bookmarks lol. I was able to bookmark my own pages and yes, I do now see the the 3 vertical dots to delete. I thought something was seriously wrong with my chrome when I didnt see the option to delete the preinstalled ones. Thank you

I think that only happens with Chrome that's preinstalled on certain manufacturers' phones. It's yet another way for them to try to serve up bloat to you.:-\ Chrome on Pixel/Nexus phones doesn't come with any preinstalled bookmarks.
