Chrome Browser AD Issued on the V20

I used to use the Samsung browser on my prior Notes and it had none of the issues that Chrome has with popups and scroll through adds seemingly every time I change a page.

I know it's not specifically a V20 issue but it is darn near useless. Is there any way to kill all of the advertising without using something like Opera?

It's annoying! The chrome settings give some control not enough to block all ads. On my Samsung I had adblocker for Samsung browser and that worked well. So far on my v20 I've been using Pyrope as my browser. It's still being developed but offers more control over security.

Pyrope is good or dolphin browser is a little more polished but also includes ad blocking. I agree after having ad blocking for a while it's crazy how slow and frustrating it can be to go to most web sites without it.

samsung with ad blocker was a solid combo.
now with chrome or opera, i get a bunch of ads. this sucks.
i want a browser with one click to bookmarks, or speed dials like opera. any suggestions?

I have used Adguard with Chrome for some time across several devices. Blocks most all adds using an onboard VPN. Worth a try if you want to stick with Chrome.

I have been annoyed with the V20 and chrome browser as well. One annoying thing is when a page first loads I go to click on something and the page jumps like its doing a final load and rolls the page some so I end up clicking on the wrong thing. Maybe it's because of ads, I don't know but happens almost all the time. At first I thought something was wrong with my v20 and it flickered when a page was loading.

I don't know if it was the timing of a chrome update and getting the V20 or what but I have NEVER had an annoyance like this.

i really dislike how chrome is anti-bookmark. you have to click twice to get to bookmarks.

I switched to Opera on my Note 7 because I was getting deluged with ads. I'm now using Opera on this phone with no problems, & I love the speed dials!

My husband has the Galaxy S6 & started getting constant pop-up ads a few months ago. He's now on Opera, too, with no issues. We're on the regular one with a Classic layout. (I think there are 3 different Opera browsers).

Id you use the data saver feature in chrome it cuts down on some of the ads and pop-ups. It's not perfect but it helps.

Try the ad-blocking version of Lightning Browser. Currently use it with appreciable success.

Used it on my N7 and Nexus 6, as well.

Yes, it's free.
