Been messing with my Fold3 a lot more lately and I am finding things I do not want or need. I do not save or need bookmarks in my browser on my phone. These seem to have possibly been put in by at&t and samsung but there is not way to delete or remove them. Any one have an idea about this?

Bookmarks? Can you provide a screenshot?

If you're referring to Articles for you, there used to be a Chrome Flag where you can disable it but its gone.

Or did you mean Top Sites?

Sorry no screenshot at the moment. I am talking about bookmarks like the ones you can have in a browser, in this case chrome. There is a folder under the bookmarks page that is labeled samsung mobile and in the folder are all at&t links. I contacted at&t they had me do some things on my phone like resetting network settings and the bookmarks folder is still there. I will try to get a screenshot later.

I don't think you can get rid of those. On my Galaxy A32 5G from T-Mobile, I have a Samsung Mobile bookmarks folder with bookmarks for The Source (from T-Mobile) and Galaxy Shop, and neither can be edited nor deleted.

That is what I was afraid of. I really hate these companies thinking they know what we want and need. I guess I need to find a better browser, but one has not been made yet.

I use Brave browser since it uses less memory, loads faster, and most importantly has the most robust ad blocking and privacy settings of all browsers.

However, with Chrome I'd create a separate bookmarks folder under the main folder, stash bookmarks there, and just stay in that folder, so I never see the other folders.

I agree with you 100%, that sh... stuff... pisses me off.

I think i know what youre talking about. 3 dots. Settings. Bookmarks. Samsung Bookmarks.

Try this. A bit of a hassle but gets the job done.

Disable this through ADB.

Package name : com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks

I agree, it's a nuisance, but I honestly never pay attention to those, since I always use the main Bookmarks folder that I sync from desktop Chrome. The Samsung Mobile folder never gets accessed.

Son of a... I forgot that I had done that through the Alliance Shield X app, D'OH.

So you can download and use that app for this. I've used it for years to disable a metric crap ton of bloatware.

Apps like that is nice. No computer required.

I used to use PD. But got tired of its bug.

And the fact that for whatever BS reason they always gave, every time I bought a new Samsung phone, I had to repurchase a new PD license. A couple of bucks every year or two was well worth it to disable all the bloatware, but it was annoying.

I even eventually bought it directly from their website which they said would solve the issue... it didn't.

Now I can't even find their site or app anymore.

So, searching for something new, I came across this app in the XDA forums. It's FREE and works on every tablet and phone I've had since.

Ah yes. The good old days of "purchase from our web for permanent version". I myself purchased it everytime i changed Samsung phones xD.

The other nice thing about this app is that you can export/backup your settings, and import them to any phone/tablet, so you don't have to worry about going through all that disabling again.

Also, you can completely block any OS updates until you're comfortable installing them. Without it, eventually, no matter how many times you say, "no" to the update, they'll eventually force it.

With this app, in one click, you can disable all of the update stuff. I use it when new major updates come out until they've been out awhile, tested, (for real, by real users), GoodLock fully updated, and bugs fixed, then I leave it off for monthly security updates.

It's a great app, and I highly recommend it.
