So I tried Google Chrome again, now that it's out of beta. I had tried it on my Acer A500 and A100 tablets when it was still beta, and found that it actually slowed down the whole system. Well, it still seems to slow down the system, this time on my Maxx. I've read reviews mentioning faster browsing on Chrome vs. the stock ICS browser, but it sure seems the other way around. Anyone else try it yet?

I've heard it's a massive memory hog, so that would be why it's running so slowly. I'd wait for them to work on it before using it as your main browser. Might not happen soon though, considering their focus for Chrome is having it run on iPhones and iPads now.

I don't quite understand the need for Chrome on the Maxx anyway, especially now that ICS is out, considering the stock browser is very Googly already. For example, the stock browser can import all of my desktop Chrome's bookmarks just like mobile Chrome can.

I would have to agree with that. I was very happy with the stock browser on the GNex, I assume it's the same on the Maxx update.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence. Sent using tapatalk 2.

Mine seems to be bogging down quite a bit. Chrome that is. Just un installed and a going to run stock browser for a while. Never did give it a chance, guess I should have.

Sent from my Razr Maxx dripping ICS all over the floor

Performance with the ICS stock browser is supposed to be even better than the Gingerbread stock browser on the Maxx. To my eye, that certainly seems to be the case.
