I thought this was a hardware problem with my ASUS C302 but apparently its a common chromebook problem. Several times a day, it crashes and reboots itself, sometimes over and over until it goes back to normal. Anyone know a fix?

Tried power wash with no success. Thinking it may be a hardware issue after all.

A powerwash is like a factory reset, though, so it won't fix a corrupt system. Try the system reinstall.

Did a system re install, but, issue not resolved. Could it jsut be beta version? Screen shot attached is after I bring system back up after crash.

That's pretty odd -- I've never had that issue with mine. But I don't have any ASUS Chromebooks -- mine are Acer and HP.

Are you on the stable channel or one of the other ones (e.g., Beta or Developer)? Has this persisted despite any update to the system? If you haven't gotten a system update since this problem started, then wait until the next one is pushed.

I'm on beta channel. Have received a couple of updates, but, haven't seen any improvement.

Ok, what if you revert to Stable? If the crashes go away, then definitely give some feedback to the Chrome OS team about the crashes on Beta.

Switched to Stable channel and so far the problem appears to be solved. Been using it for half a day and no crashes. In beta channel, it crashed 6 to 8 times in that period of time.
