hey,
I have a classroom and want a way to put a PowerPoint and some videos onto a TV(the tv has chromecast). I was looking at some cheap laptops and realized they would be too sluggish and annoying. Do you guys think a chromecast would be snappier than a cheap laptop and would it work well?

Chromebooks are currently dominant in the education sector, so I think they would work well for your needs. But be aware that actual PowerPoint files probably won't look exactly the same when converted to Google Slides format. If you get a Chromebook that has Android app compatibility, you could use the Microsoft PowerPoint Android app, but I think this might require an Office 365 subscription.

I use a Chromebook for a lot of things in the classroom, but I do have problems once in a while, like sometimes I need to open something n Excel (and the online version is too basic) and I can’t use Smart Notebook. I still prefer the Chromebook, though, for its simplicity and price, and the built-in HDMI ports.

Definitely Chromebooks serves the purpose in the classroom. Moreover it is super affordable, lightweight, stylish, cloud-based, and has a long battery life than others. What else can you ask for?
