Chromecast icon but im I'm not chromecasting?

[Android Central Question]

Hi, the Chromecast icon suddenly appeared at the top of my screen in the notification bar and i have no idea why. I am not chromecasting and i dont even know how to do that. I got the Google home app to turn it off but it doesn't say that it is on and it tells me there's no devices for me to even cast to. What is happening? Please help. thanks
