Chromecast subtitle on phone and video on tv

I've recently purchased the new chromecast. I'm quite happy about the quality of the streamed stuff, but when I'm streaming a video from inside a player that is in a webpage (androi -> chrome) I can see the video on my tv, but the subtitle appears in the video player rectangle in my browser on my android device. Here is a picture with the problem asd.jpg. My phone has the subtitle and the tv has the video. How can I stream both of them together?

Does it happen with all sites? Might be a site issue, since I can watch the ones from YouTube and a couple pages (I think CBS works, too) can display captions on the Chromecast.

I've only used youtube and that site(fsplay). This is a free tv shows website and I can't find any like it that would have subtitles in romanian. I don't know if this happens with other sites as well.

So it happens on YouTube as well? Although YouTube is a beast appart, I guess, since it does have a Chromecast 'app'. Videos from websites are directly streamed to the Chromecast from the sites.

Can you try any other sites with video and see if you have the same issue?

An alternative is to use the Chromecast to mirror your phone's screen. Of course this would use your phone for streaming and displaying the subtitles but it would show up on the screen as well...

Screen mirroring is not a solution because the quality is really bad when I'm watching it. If I use the chromecast function the quality improves a lot. I will check other websites and let you know.

That happens to all the online players that I've tried. The videi goes on the tv, but the subtitle shows on the phone.

Mmmm... then yeah, the sites are only streaming the video to the Chromecast, not the subtitles :(

Would be a good bug to submit to Google, although still not sure if the 'blame' is on the Chromecast or on the sites serving up the videos.

I'll see what I'm going to do about this, but I can't believe that since this chromecast got out I'm the first person that had this problem ..

Most people that stream those videos do so only for the video. Subtitles are mostly used in 'proper' apps like Netflix or YouTube or even local media streaming from the stock Video Player or apps like VNC, and those do display subtitles properly.

But if you DO find a solution, please post it here and educate us so that we can help others should they run into the same problem! :)
