Cincy Bell HTC One M7 on AT&T

Hello everyone, first let me say I am by no means a phone tech person. I buy a phone and use it for calling, texting, and internet. Thats it. So please be gentle.
I have a HTC One(M7) that I bought through Cincinnati Bell in 2014. When CB changed their network or something, my phone stopped making calls completely, so I bought an HTC 10 and switched carriers to AT&T. Now the 10 needs to have the battery replaced, and I am trying to understand exactly what I need to do to get the M7 up and running as a backup/stand in. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! From what I can tell, Cincinnati Bell used AT&T's network, so it theoretically should work. But the phone might be network locked to Cincinnati Bell, and since their wireless service no longer exists, you'd have to search the web for 3rd party phone unlocking services to see if anyone might help. Be aware that you might end up paying money for a code that doesn't work.:-\
