Class10 slow writing speed normal on s4?

Hi!
I got a Sandisk 16gb class10 yesterday for my S4,I am very deceived by the writing speed as it doesn't beat the 8.5mb/s writing speed.
It takes long minutes to transfer a 1gb file.
Tested on the S4 with SD Tools and gave me 8.5mb/s too.
Tested directly on PC with the adapter and got a 20mb/s that falls to 5mb/s in only 3 seconds (H2testw)
I talked to the salesteam of Virgin Lebanon and they said ''it's perfectly normal'' while I am convinced it's way slower than it should.
I even got a low 2.5mb/s when transferring from my laptop to the S4.
So is it normal or not for a class 10 sandisk Ultra?

8.5MB/s is a very normal writing speed for the Sandisk Ultra. A Sandisk Extreme may double that.

I know it has been written about problems with SD cards and the S4. So I went and bought a Samsung Class 10 sd card for my S4. Works great

Geez I thought any class10 would give 20mb/s
Finally it's better to get an internal memory like HTC One as it's 32gb and 3x faster than my sandisk

Well, I was on the S4 bandwagon with Tmobile. However, I was reading how fast the 9gbs can go on the 16gb model. Returned the S4 and tried to wait for Tmobile to get the 32gb S4. It never happened, but the Note 3 came out, and I went there. I would have an S4 if they had came with the 32 and 64 gb models. Internal memory is way faster then external memory.. Sd cards are for vids and pics...

Well, I was surprised. I thought the USB 3.0 speeds were really gonna knock me back. Not. ...but they're faster than USB 2 so I'm not complaining.

I think people should stop claiming ''class 10? it's blazing fast on a smartphone'' because it's not!
It's just slightly faster than a class4,if I knew, I would have bring a 32gb class4 instead of a 16gb class10

Well, 17.6MB/s vs. 7.9MB/s in write speed would be considered substantial to some and not mistakenly so. The questions remains how much of a difference one would see in between class 10 and the lower classes.

Yeah but you are talking class10 extreme vs class10 Ultra,all class10 should be at the same speed,classing cards by class is a mistake then.
A microsd class10 ultra compared to a class4 is just about an equivalent of a class 5.5,only the ''extreme'' is a true class10
