My S8+ and now the Note 10+ have a built in warning that every now and then pops up and tells you that a clean lens takes a better photo. My problem is that I can't tell you how many times that I needed to take the photo as soon as I started the camera to get the shot I wanted, this pops up and I lose the shot. Is there a way to turn off that warning? Thank you.

No doesn't look like you can .

I'm kind of afraid of that. They don't need it on the Note 10. The reason they came up with that is because on the S8 the fingerprint sensor was right next to the camera lens so you could smudge it. I can't believe they left it on the Note. Thank you.

I agree , at least leave a toggle to turn it off :(
Your welcome!

Even if it pops up. Just press the shutter and it will still take the pic.

You could just start to make it a habit to check your lens before taking a shot, or like someone else mentioned, just take the picture when the message pops up.

You know... I used to have severe OCD. I always make sure no dust/dirt is anywhere. But at times i still get the message xD..

But from the message. I doubt its the lens which is dirty. But its the sensors on the side of the lens.

I personally don't like the lens placement so close to the edge, I find my finger hands there during long videos or even just taking a picture.. Wish it was back a little further. Oh well, just a personal rant.

I however wished it was like the Note 9...people keep asking me which Huawei am i using... When its not...

Weird. I haven't gotten that notice at all since I've had my Note 10+, and rarely got it on my Note 8. I got it more often with my S8+.

Yeah, the position has caused me to pay more attention to how I'm holding my phone for picture taking.

Don't have the 10 but that notice can be disabled on the Note 9 in the camera settings.

Well, I read on this pre-release review that starting with the S8, because the lens was so close to the fingerprint sensor that it just automatically would come on every now and then to remind people to clean it. It has nothing to do with it actually being dirty. If it's not on this review, I know I saw it on a review. I have OCD as well and am always cleaning it.

To be honest I get the warning too and, I think to hell with it, 30 seconds to get the appropriate cloth to the lens, job done. More to worry about in life.

The problem is wanting to take a photo of something you see happening right then, like my granddaughter doing something I want the shot of then or seeing an animal crossing a road who wont be there if I had to clean the lens first. As stated above, I will try taking the photo with the warning still showing and hope it works.

Is your Note 10+ unlocked or carrier branded? I have the Verizon version. I've looked through the user manual and I can't find ANYTHING about the fingerprint warning. I've had my Note 10+ for two months now and I've NEVER had that warning pop up.
