Cleaning the HTC One speakers

Is it safe to use compressed air to blow out the HTC One speakers? I'm not going to do it up close obviously, but if the nozzle was about 2 - 3" away would that do any damage?

Are there any other recommendations?

I personally don't see anything wrong with that. I use compressed air to dust out my PC speakers all the time.
