Hi guys.

I have so much garbage in my contact list cross platform.
- Android Phone
- Outlook 365
- Microsoft People
- Gmail
- YahooMail
and maybe some more I forgot.

Do you have a good proven strategy how to start from fresh by just keeping the basic contacts and get rid of all the bloat contact collected over 20 years?

Thanks in advance.
Chris

I wouldn't say it's a proven strategy, but for Android users, I would recommend consolidating everything into Google Contacts. You can usually export contacts from other platforms to a .vcf file, and then import that file in to Google Contacts. Once those contacts are imported, you can find duplicates in Google Contacts pretty easily and merge them.

Once they're in Google Contacts, then you know they're safe, and they'll sync automatically with any device you sign into with that Google account.

You probably want them all in one account going forward, so pick the account you wish to use, export your contacts out of all your other accounts and import into the chosen account. Now use the check for duplicates function to get rid of all the extras.
Personally I'd choose a cloud service like Google Contacts or Outlook for the purpose of storing contacts.
