Hi everyone, I would on occasion clear cache data from device care in the storage options, I don't see it anywhere or in the device care, is there a new way to clear cache on your phone since one UI?

Thanks

Clear cache you can do by long pressing individual app tap info then storage, or go in recovery clear cache . Device care clears out ram process

Was there not an option to just clear storage cache without going through each app? When you say recovery clear cache do you mean clear cache partition?

There was, I just updated the device care app and it seems to be gone.

If you run device care as a whole though it should still clear cached data.

Why would they get rid of that option? Device care is about optimization as well but they take the clear cache option out of the equation? Am I the only that finds this very strange?

Android has a cache - that's system cache. And each app has its own cache, and you have to go through each app to clear its cache. (Or you could use an app like BitCleaner - it goes through each app and clears its cache.)

So yes, there's a cache clear that a lot of people think clears the cache of all apps - but that's not what it does, and that's not what it ever did.

Ok so I presume optimization in device care clears system cache?

Samsung make a lot of stupid decisions, it's the nature of the beast. Trying to figure out the intricate web of corporate nonsense will drive you mad.

Ok so to summarize there is now no way to clear all app cache with one push if a button?

It was an option until the recent update to the Device Care app. Only way I've found is is to boot to the Recovery menu.

Same thing happened with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e...

Didn't realize or remember it being there lol

It was very handy on my S10. Easier than booting to Recovery.

Still can't figure out how to boot to Recovery on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e...
Your tab usually power off then hold power/volume up button same time before it starts for recovery?
