Clearing Google history

Don't know why it a so hard for me. I read online but my settings don't seem to be the same. I open Google app and hit the 3 lines and go to settings but lost after that. Thanks

From there, tap Accounts & Privacy, then My Activity. This will take you to the website on your browser. Tap the menu button at the upper left, then Delete Activity By, and specify what you want to delete.

You should be able to go to Accounts & Privacy, then My Activity. There you should be able to filter by Date and Product; just select SEARCH and delete date ranges or everything there.

This has never worked for me in full. Even if I do this across all my devices, and then restart them, My "google" search will still have many old suggested searches. It's very annoying.
