Clearing Google Search Bar history completely

It seems that the search bar history, or at least some of it, is not removed after I thought that I cleared my activity in Google/Accounts and privacy... For example, at least some history appears when I tap the search bar. I there a way to delete search history completely, perhaps all at once in Google products? Thanks.

Settings - Google - Search - Accounts and Privacy - My Activity - Tap the 3 horizontal bars at top left after it signs you in - Activity Controls - Toggle Web and App History to off.

It used to not be such a buried setting in prior Android versions. Guess Google really wants to collect info.
