Clearing Media Strage Data has Scrambled the music cover art

I have a Samsung galaxy note pro running android 4.4.2.

When I updated my music cover art the device would still use the old cover art. On this forum I found several posts to fix this by clearing the Media Storage data. I did that and rebooted the device and waited about 5 minutes. the cover art was updated, but at a heavy price. Now the album art work is scrambled when viewed using the default music app, but it is not scrambled using the google play music app.

How can I fix the scramble art work (without deleting all my music and then reading it) under the default music app (I like how it displays the music more than google play music)?

I found a solution by clearing the data in the default Music app. Once I did that the cover artwork matched the correct album.
