Are you talking about memory for app storage? What do you see when you go to storage in Settings? Is there a button to clear the cache? For example, on my Nexus 4 I have 1.3GB of storage taken up by cache, that I can clear with the click of a button. Maybe you also have that.

Thanks for a response but no this device does not have that option like my previous phones at least not that I can find

The only way I know of is to go into each app individually (long press on the app icon and then drag it upwards toward "More Options") and clear cache there. If you have a lot of apps, it may be a tedious process.

You can download a memory cleaner app, I have Clean Master, and it will do it in one fell swoop. Though, it only seems to list major apps, not necessarily all of them.

Sent from my totally awesome Sprint Galaxy Nexus, even if I don't know all its secrets yet.
