Clicking Sound? Almost like a relay?

New S8 owner here, I hear a click sound on occasion coming from what seems internally from the phone. It sounds like a relay am I hearing things?

Is that click sound heard when you shake the device a bit (like a rattle)? If that's the case then it's normal about every phone i've owned does this and i think it's the gyroscope moving internally.

Can't remember where but i've researched that sound once and i read it was gyroscope moving i could still be wrong though (obviously i'm not a phone maker so i can't be 100% sure) all i know is that it's normal and not a defect.

The gyroscope is a solid state chip smaller then a tear drop, and the OIS/Autofocus does not rub against anything with enough force to create an audible noise. Indeed, clicking is simply a structural failure in the build somewhere. Harmful? Probably not. But not normal.

In what situations you hear the noise? When clicking a button? When it is in a certain position? When screen is on? what do you do to hear it?

Could it be a touch sound? I hear a click in my Bluetooth sometimes. It's a screen touch sound.

I've heard clicking/rattling sounds in every phone i've owned since like 2010 it's not failure at all and a normal thing did my research years ago as i thought something was wrong and there's nothing. ALL of em had that sound from opening the box to when i sold them 2 years or less later.

As far as I know, every phone with OIS will make this noise to a certain extent. On some phones it is more easy to hear, on others its harder, but it is still there nevertheless. No need to worry about it.

That's what I suspect it is too. There are so many settings, such as - Screen lock/unlock, or Phone charge, or Touch sounds...best to GTK 'Sounds and Vivrations' menu in 'Settings'.

if you mean a random burst of 3 clicks, I just started getting them about 2 weeks ago. it's definitely nothing mechanical, it's some kind of annoying alert, and it can happen at any time.
