Hello,

I have a QR Code reader on my Tab A 8. The reader generates a text code which consists of a long string of letters, numbers, etc.
Options include save to Clip Board. Can anyone advise me where Clip Board is located and how I can convert the Clip Board contents into a file?

Regards, Jim

A typical clip board is a "volatile" memory space, and generally a single item depth so the next time something is placed there the previous item is overwritten. SOME devices have a clipboard manager app or capability, this is accessed through the long-press.

You'd want to find some kind of text entry app, scan the QR code, then go to that app to long-press in the text entry area and paste the scanned item.

Open a new text file. Long-press in the text field and "Paste' should pop up. Paste and you'll get the clipboard text pasted to the file. Save the file. (It's standard computer clipboard stuff - you can "access" it with copy, cut or paste.)

I am almost incompetent in Android systems. Ho do I create a new file?

OK, I stumbled along and managed to create a file with Clip Board content. Thanks for the help!
