Clipboard on 2.2

I was just wondering if anybody knew how to clear the clipboard? I have noticed that after I copy and paste something the option to paste will continue to come up. Not a big deal, just curious

I'm gonna revive this thread because I'm curious as well. It's really annoying to have that little blue tab covering up part of the keyboard. Anyone have a fix?
[I know the title of this thread says 2.2, but i'm running Superclean 2.9.2]
