Android Central Question

I use the clip tray (clipboard) assiduously on my LG Aristo 5. For some reason the clip tray is missing, as I am unable to copy anything, let alone paste.

Don't suggest I reboot -- I tried this first.

There are no clipboard settings in "manage keyboards". I may need to get used to Gboard. Gboard, by the way, has an enable clipboard button in settings.

Please I need to get this working or I will be forced to factory reset phone.

I've used several LG phones, and to access the clip tray on any of them, I just long pressed the text entry box of whatever I'm typing in. That pops up the options for the clip tray, copying, pasting, etc.

I have noticed that not all apps will show access to the clip tray. I have no idea why this is, but the long press doesn't work for them other than to copy/paste, with the clip tray option just missing. In a case like that, I just go to my note taking app and access whatever I need there.

Welcome to Android Central! Try clearing the app cache for the LG Keyboard app, then force stop it. Open it again, and see if the clip tray comes back.
