Clock App draining battery - please help

The battery on my HTC ahas been running down quickly (a few hours)

I looked at battery usage, settings/power/usage, and the clock (the clock app it comes with) is using 44%

Surely this shouldnt be happening?

I take it the phone gets a bit warm with such a drain, you haven't told us which app it is either?
I would un-install the offending app, reboot the phone, then see if the drain has gone. If so reinstall the app and see what happens..

Do you have an alarm or timers set? Still, I don't think that would cause the problem. Also, try force closing and clearing the cache via system settings - applications - apps

I use several alarms and regularly use timers and have no battery issues so that isn't the issue.

Thanks for the replies.

The clock app is the one that comes with the phone.

The battery is lasting ok today and the clock usage on the battery is down to 1%

I'll just have to keep an eye on it. It is a mystery to me.
