Clock appears when phone touches laptop

My husband propped his LG G2 against the edge of his Dell laptop by the trackpad, and this clock appeared on the screen. I tried mine, and it did the same thing. Both are AT&T, not rooted, running Lollipop.

Has anyone else ever seen this? I guess it's not a problem, just weird and unexpected. It apparently doesn't have anything to do with Bluetooth or NFC, since I have both of those off. Any ideas why it comes up?

No, it's not touching the power button. The contact point on the phone is right about where the AT&T logo is on the back (just above center). Also, it doesn't work if I have my phone in the bumper case it's usually in - only if the phone physically touches the edge of the laptop--and only if it touches the laptop in one spot - between the trackpad and the right edge. I noticed that there's a lock icon on the watch face. I swiped the clock, and there are actually 3 screens - the watchface, a "play music" screen, and an Accuweather app. I'll post pics of the other two screens, as well as the position of the phone and laptop when it does this.

Aha! Found out that this is the QuickWindow screen that comes up when you use a QuickWindow phone case. Something in that area of the laptop must be triggering the same thing that the case does, and activates the screen.
