Clock icon in action bar

When I have an alarm set there is an alarm clock icon in the action bar,.but I can't pulldown or select it to view the alarms. Is they a way to make this do this or hide the icon? Im on 4.3 stock.

No. Unless you're rooted, then you'll have the ability to not show the icon, but then there's no indication if your alarm is set. The only way to see what alarm is activated, is through the "clock" app, and selecting alarms. Or through the widget on a home screen, it'll show a green icon in the widget with what alarm is on, and it's details.
