clock in the notification bar keeps disappearing and reappearing

I have an AT&T Galaxy S3 that the clock in the notification bar keeps disappearing and reappearing. Not all of the time and sometimes it will disappear and an unknown symbol will appear in its place. The symbol looks like this >W anyone else seen that????

Mine does that randomly. Sometimes everything in the notification bar with distort and look different and then go back to normal. Not sure why it does it. Clear cache in recovery and see if that works. Just random glitches

Check what apps your have running when this happens. That could be your cause. Mine is when Facebook Messenger is active.
