Clock issues with syncing

Hi there
I got a new s6 edge 2 days ago and the clock has absolutely been driving me nuts ever since...
It will randomly drop back 2-3 hours, randomly. And it's not always the same time difference...sometimes it will drop back 1hour and 15minutes...another time it will drop back 3 hours, another time it will drop back 1.5 hours...another time it will drop back 55 minutes.

Even if i set it to manual - it will still change randomly. Quite annoying when I want to use my phone as my alarm clock.
Today the alarm went off at 9:30 - however it was already midday so that didn't help!!!

Steps I have tried:
Factory Resetting the phone via settings menu & home button + volume + lock button reset.
Checked my modem settings to make sure it has the right date/time

That's about all i can do right? I've tried clocksync which actually doesn't work anymore due to no access to roots - and i don't want to root my phone in case i brick it.

anyone know anything else I can try?

S6 - still under warranty - have it replaced. On automatic time and timezone, if you're not at the edge of a timezone, switching between towers on either side of the line, the phone is supposed to be displaying the time at the tower - as derived from a GPS source, which is extremely accurate (GPS works on time differences of billionths of a second, so it has to be). Either the firmware in the phone is bad, or your provider has a problem at the tower. In either case, bring it to them.

yeah pretty sure i'm going to send it back

been watching it closely and what's happening is that the phone goes back 30minutes every now and then..
did it 3 times in a row even.
Checked phone at 5pm ..phone said 4:30pm - changed it manually back to 5pm
checked it at 5:36pm - phone said 5:06pm - changed it to 5:36pm
checked it at 6:15pm - phone said 5:45pm - changed it to 6:15pm

etc etc
