clock widgets not keeping current time after root

I rooted my ATT S4 and now my clock widgets won’t stay current. The home screen is accurate. The weather widgets update frequently but the clocks get stuck at whatever time I installed them at. I’ve removed all the widget from the screen. I’ve uninstalled them, rebooted the phone and reinstalled them.
What am I missing here? I don’t really want to re-root the phone so I can get my widgets functioning again. I have spent all weekend trying to figure this out and trying various things I’ve read to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas?
