Are you running 5.0 Lollipop on your Nexus 5? With the change to ART (Android Runtime) in Lollipop, the Xposed Framework is currently not able to run. Previously on 4.4 KitKat, even if the experiment ART was enabled, installing Xposed would revert it to Dalvik automatically.
