Closing Open Apps

I will wondering how often you folks close your open apps as well as clearing cashed data through system settings?

Since the Android OS works most efficiently when most RAM is working I very rarely close open apps. As to Cached data I do wipe that more often usually after streaming news and/or videos.

OK, glad this was asked , I'm new to the Note 5 and have watched several YouTube videos, I've seen Smart Manager in most videos but not in my AT&T Note 5? Why so?, I don't really need the app ?, Closing All on recent apps closes them but does it clear RAM?, Android handles that in the background?

I never close apps. Never. Unless I have some renegade Web site that is trying to trap me in their biosphere. And it's not just porn sites that do that anymore.

I don't close apps unless I notice one consuming more battery than expected.
