Cloud backup wont restore on my replacement Pixel XL

[Android Central Question]

I sent my Pixel XL to google to be replaced Dec. 6, 2017. Before sending it in I factory reset the phone. When I received my replacement phone I updated to the latest version of Android. However, even with automatic restore turned on my cloud backups wont fully restore.

I only have calendar, Contacts, and photos currently able to sync. App data call history, device settings, and Sms text messages all say waiting to back up
I can see the cloud back up on my google drive from Dec. 3 but it will not sync with my current device.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

When you first started up your phone, what option did you choose? "Restore phone from backup" or "New phone". I made this mistake when I got mine. I first chose "new phone" but should have selected "from backup".
