No way without Froyo. JIT and Flash are parts of my day to day now. Whenever Cyan gets to Froyo it will still take a while to get me back after using JRummy and Bugless. It would have to be a gamechanging feature that no one else has.

You can enable JIT on 2.1 roms. it just isn't 100% successful when you try to ennable it. i have done it on a few roms and there was definitely a speed increase. it's an app in the market called "Jitter" it is really easy to use but you do need use the right rom or atleast hope that it is the right rom haha.

Have you tried Onyx yet? in my opinion it beats BB (atleast 1.1 though i havent tried 0.2.1) and Kangerade. especially the new theme that he added "Old school smoked 2.0" which is somewhat "smoke" theme but there are added bonuses like a themed notification drop down menu.

I'm gonna pass for now. I did like the last CM (before all the Froyo ROMs popped out). Tried a few, and I am now running SS.

Makes you wonder if Cyanogen doesn't know how to make a Froyo ROM. LOL.

He doesn't just cut & paste the roms like most of the others. He builds everything from source so until Google releases the source code to Froyo, you won't see a CM froyo rom.

Pjnc is right. Cyanogen is probably one of the to rom developers to date. He could make one now if he wanted to but he will only work on it when the source us officially released

I hear good things about this rom (go look n Cyanogen's twitter page, people are loving it), but yeah, I wouldn't leave Froyo for it. I would miss too much stuff, and the general usability of 2.2.

The only thing I would probably miss about froyo is the major improvements of the camera, I would try this out but im getting tired of wiping all data, even though its only a little inconvenient, i still find it annoying. I rarely if ever use flash.

one little thing i miss about froyo is the lock/unlock sounds its a very small thing but i really like it

I would miss the call/internet buttons on the bottom (like the location), and the upgrades to the SMS app. I dont use a third party sms app, always found them too slow.

Dapke36, you can just use a launcher such as launcher pro or adw launcher and retain the soft buttons next to the app button. Also Launcher Pro allows a 5x4 grind on home screens instead of the regular 4x4. Very nice touch.

Agree about the sms, the keyboard seems better.
