It may not if you're currently running nightlies. If you're running nightlies, the phone will pop up with an updated nightly build, not an RC.

are you using any kernels too? if so, try another kernel...

How is the memory in CM7 RC4 for the OG Droid?

I loved the ROM but I couldnt listen to music and browse the web (or multitask at all really) without it killing off the music. (Last used RC-2)

Currently running Peter Alfonso's Gingerbread ROM (GPA14) until CM7 can play music and do everything else =D

RC4 is miles ahead of RC2. RC2 wasnt usuable on my D1 but RC4 is definitely my daily driver

This will be my first rom update. Will upgrading from RC2 to RC4 totally wipe the phone again and I have to redo everything, or is this closer to a factory OTA and just everything in the background changes?

That depends on how thorough you want to be. Some users experience little quirks when they just flash over the previous builds, but it works just fine for most. (I usually just flash over without wiping unless it has been a week or two)

My battery life really suffered on RC2, and I didn't think it was all that great on RC1. I know it's early, but has anyone gotten a feel for this yet? Especially Evo users?

I had the same problem with RC2, anyone have an answer for this, I'm useing UD 3.1.1 right now and I love the batery and would love to know opinions on RC4 as far as batery and comparison to ud
