CM7 back to MR2 Root (Sin Card Issue)

Im having issues with my network i think i fried my simcard or i need the correct radio

iam running thunderstick 3d and when i rooted i backed up my stock rom and even when i restore the network is still down hence why i think i fried the sim card

is it possible if i fried my simcard that i get a new one from verizon they will b able to tell that i was rooted?
