just installed cm7. only thing i dont like about it is the messaging app. Does anyone know how to put back on the stock htc messaging ap? or even the contacts app?

yea i'd go with handcent sms... i have always used it... did you install gapps?

I typically remove the default messaging app and install GO SMS. Just make sure you go into the setting of GO SMS and check stock sms is uninstalled. I have never had a problem with it.
