CM7 RC3 to RC4 whiping question

when flashing between RC's do i have to do a full wipe? or just partial. first time switching between two wasnt really sure

yeah i wasnt sure i thought i saw something you didnt need to wipe to keep the data and what not.

What you didn't want to search the 1000+ CM7 thread for this answer?!

You don't have to wipe everything, just data/cache and the dalvic (its listed under "advanced" in ClockworkMod). A full wipe would include the data/factory reset...that one is not necessary to do.

You should only have to delete cache and dalvic, but it can only help to data/factory reset. So I would recommend just doing the first 2, but if you run into glitches or problems delete the 3rd and re-flash.

thats what i figured, i just couldnt remember exactly if i needed to do the dalvic or not. last time it took FOREVER for google to like sync everything over. thanks for the replies guys!

youre right, when i posted it i didnt have time to look i had like 10 minutes to flash, so i just waited lol
