Color Balance and sRGB Question

I have my screen looking just like I wanted it, whites are white, not yellowish or blue looking, had to move the color balance slider all the way to the right to achieve that, what I don't understand or know anything about is the sRGB in developer options, what does it do? I was under the impression that it only affected pictures taken with the phone and not the screen itself. Sorry if this has been answered but nothing relevant came up in my forum search. Thank you.

sRGB mode will set the color calibration of your display to the settings that OnePlus used when adding that mode. It will apply that to everything, the UI, photos, etc.

It would make the display more accurate. For everything. Basically what you tried to do yourself.
