Color Nook "goii\ng crazy"

Every once in awhile, my nook 'goes crazy'. If I am reading a book, the menu bars flickers in and out, pages turn by themselves and the font size changes. If I am on a web page, the page changes size and then the browser closes.

I have to turn the Nook off and let it rest a few minutes before I turn it on again. Most times, this solves the problems. A few times, I have to turn it off for hours.

What might the problem(s) be?

Ghost touches. Clean your screen, run the nook screen recalibrate app and then get a screen protector as a better fix.
